    • The invention relates to the production of nanodiamond powders, nanotubes, bulbous carbon and other carbon nanomaterials and products based thereon. The inventive nanodiamond material comprises carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen, oxygen and nitrogen-containing groups ranging from 20 to 50 %. Moreover, the zeta-potential of the material aqueous suspension in deionised water is less than -45 mV. The inventive nanodiamond purification and modification method consists in passing a gas mixture, in the form of a dried air and/or oxygen and/or ozone at a pressure up to 0.8MPa, through an initial material, in simultaneously heating it from 20°C to a temperature of 550°C and in agitating said mixture. The initial material is agitated by means of directed gas mixture flows and/or a mechanical device. The inventive device for purifying and modifying nanodiamonds comprises a vessel for placing the initial material, a heater, a gas mixture generating system which comprises an ozone-air mixture generator and a filtering system and is provided with an oxygen concentrator and a system for controlling the content of each of components in the gas mixture. The vessel is provided with a device for the gas and mechanical agitation of the initial material. The filtering system is designed in the form of porous filters provided with a system for reverse pulse slavenging by compressed gas. The additional device is provided with an inert gas input system and the heater is provided with an automatic control and operation system.
