摘要： A foam control granule for use in a particulate detergent composition comprises a porous particulate carrier material having sorbed therein or thereon a foam control composition comprising a silicone oil or silicone oil/hydrophobic silica compound which is shear-thinning. Preferred carrier materials include light soda ash. The foam control composition may also include a viscosity modifying agent, for example, a hydrocarbon wax. The foam control granule may be prepared by subjecting the foam control composition to shear whereby its viscosity is reduced, and then mixing it in shear-thinned form into or onto the porous particulate carrier material.
