    • At least one implementation determines whether two cameras are in parallel or are converging, based on an automated analysis of images from the cameras. One particular implementation determines the disparity of a foreground point and a background point. If the sign of the two disparities are the same, then the particular implementation decides that the cameras are in parallel. Otherwise, the particular implementation decides that the two cameras are converging. More generally, various implementations access a first image and a second image that form a stereo image pair. Multiple features are selected that exist in the first image and in the second image. An indicator of depth is determined for each of the multiple features. It is determined whether the first camera and the second camera were arranged in a parallel arrangement or a converging arrangement based on the values of the determined depth indicators.

    • The present disclosure discloses a method and system for clustering. The method includes: vectorizing a plurality of readable files to obtain a plurality of file vectors corresponding to the multiple readable files; extracting a total characteristic vector based on the file vectors; and clustering the readable files based on a ranking result of a respective similarity degree between the total characteristic vector and each of the file vectors. The present disclosure also provides a method and system for clustering webpages. An application of the methods or systems described in the present disclosure reduces the number of times of comparison of similarity degrees between file vectors, and further reduces the resulting burden on system resources. This advantageously results in reduced usage of CPU and memory, reduced run time of clustering and improved performance of clustering.

    • The optical image reader is versatile since it can be assembled for use in a variety of reader applications, such as an ultra high definition reader, a high definition reader, a standard reader and an ultra long range reader. In addition to a housing enclosing an image sensor, an adjustable objective lens assembly for focusing an image of a target on the image sensor and a light source for illuminating and/or targeting the target, the reader includes a light shaping optical element array comprising optical elements assembled together as an integral unit and adapted to be fixed to the housing for shaping and directing light on the target. The optical elements are mounted on a panel, which is adapted to be fixed to the reader housing either permanently, or releasably to permit replacement of the panel on the housing. The method of assembling the image reader comprises the steps of selecting a light shaping optical element array from the variety of optical element arrays for the specific application, adjusting the objective lens assembly for optimum focal length for the specific application, and fixing the light shaping optical element array panel to the image reader housing. The present invention is further directed to a kit for an imaging system. The kit for an imaging system comprises an image reader mounted in a housing and one or more light shaping optical element array panels, each adapted to be releasably attached to the image reader housing.
