This provides conditions suitable for efficient cracking of hydrocarbons, such as ethane, to form olefins.

摘要： A method of autothermal oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) utilizes introducing a methane-containing feedstock and an oxygen-gas-containing feedstock into a reactor (10) as a flowing mixture (18) with a space time of 500 ms or less. The reactor (10) contains a catalyst bed (20) of an OCM catalyst that contacts the flowing mixture and wherein the catalyst bed (20) has a heat Peclet number (Peh) of from 5 or less, a mass Peclet number (Pem) of from 5 or more, and a transverse Peclet number (P) of from 1 or less while contacting the flowing mixture. The methane and oxygen of the feedstocks are allowed to react within the reactor (10) to form methane oxidative coupling reaction products. A reactor (10) for carrying out the OCM reaction is also disclosed.

摘要： A fluid-solids contactor comprising an annular rotating fluidized bed and a method of using the same are disclosed. The fluid-solids contactor includes a vessel and a plurality feed inlets disposed thereon. The vessel comprises a stationary inner wall, an outer wall, and a chamber formed between the stationary inner wall and the outer wall. The feed inlets are configured to create an annular rotating bed with mixture of solids and a fluid when the solid particles and a fluid are fed into the chamber. The stationary inner wall of the vessel is permeable to the fluid such that the fluid from the chamber can be continuously withdrawn from the solids to the space within the stationary inner wall of the vessel.

The feed streams can be introduced into the reactor at any angle (perpendicular, axial, or something between, or a combination of the above forms) with swirling flow components. This provides conditions suitable for efficient cracking of hydrocarbons, such as ethane, to form olefins.

摘要： The disclosed embodiments allow a user to request new product designs and design changes remotely. The requested design or change is then submitted to a network-based automated process. The process may be remotely accessed by the user through a network connection. In one embodiment, the user may meet directly with a customer, pull up the specifications for the product in question, select a design or change desired by the customer, and submit the design or change. The process works in the background to validate the requested design according to one or more validation rules and/or best practices, and completes many of the necessary tasks to allow the requested design to proceed to manufacturing. Once the process has successfully completed the requested change, a notification is sent to the user containing information about the new or changed product, such as the new part number, order number, and the like.
