摘要： A system and method for displaying an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) data for a television channel of a viewer's choice along with simultaneous access to a plurality of applications while watching the television channel have been disclosed. The system of the present invention recognizes the logo of the currently viewed channel and based on the same establishes a communication link with the website of that channel, downloads and hyperlinks the EPG data and blends the data over a portion of the channel video content. Thus, viewers do not have to browse through the entire programme guide to view the programme details of a channel of their choice. Moreover, the hyper-linking enables viewers to access the website of that channel for additional information.
