摘要： The present disclosure relates to a method for providing on-line textbooks to students. The method may use a server having a memory. The server memory may be loaded with an electronic bookshelf accessible by a student and by a teacher through a log-in procedure while accessing a log-in portal. The electronic bookshelf may be populated with standard electronic textbooks that may be accessed and downloaded over a network by the student, with each standard electronic textbook including at least one lesson plan for a given subject. The electronic bookshelf may also be populated with at least one customized electronic textbook that may be accessed and downloaded by a student. The customized electronic textbook may be further modified to create a student version and a separate teacher version, with the teacher version including supplementary material of interest to the teacher for the lesson plan contained in the customized electronic textbook.

摘要： A portable generator system having a generator for generating an electrical output signal, an internal combustion engine for driving the generator, a starter for starting the internal combustion engine, an alternator for generating an AC signal for powering a charger assembly, a battery pack, and a charger subsystem. The charger system has a charger assembly that receives the AC signal and generates a DC charging signal for recharging the battery pack. The charger assembly has a first switch and a second switch. The first switch is used to apply an output of the battery to energize the starter. The second switch, when placed in a Start position, enables current from the battery pack to energize the starter while inhibiting the application of the DC charging signal to the battery pack. When placed in the Charge position, the second switch inhibits the battery pack output from energizing the starter while enabling the DC charging signal to be applied to the battery pack.

摘要： A permanent magnet, DC motor especially well adapted for use in power tools, and particularly hand-held, battery powered power tools. The motor includes two sets of armature coils, with each set of coils being coupled to separate sets of commutator bars on an armature. Separate pairs of brushes are used to interface with the two sets of commutator bars. A switching subsystem is controlled either manually by a user engageable switch or automatically by a controller, to connect the two sets of coils in either series or parallel configurations. The series configuration provides a greater efficiency, but with a lower power output than the parallel connection. The parallel connection provides a greater maximum power output from the motor. Thus, the operating characteristics of the tool can be tailored to better meet the needs of a work task, and in a manner than makes most efficient use of available battery power.

摘要： A method of forming a three dimensional (3D) object is disclosed. The method may involve providing a volume of photo-curable resin contained within an optically transparent resin container, and simultaneously directing optical projections from an optical subsystem at a plurality of angles θ through the volume of photo-curable resin. The optical beams are directed about a z axis extending through the volume of photo-curable resin. Each of the projections is provided with a calculated 2D spatial intensity function which creates a 3D intensity map. The projections act over a fixed temporal exposure period, during which the net exposure dose is sufficient to cure select portions of the volume of photo-curable resin, and to leave other portions uncured, to form a desired 3D part.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to a load sharing system having a plurality of power supplies for powering a plurality of corresponding loads. Each one of the power supplies is associated with at least one of the loads. A power bus is also provided. A plurality of inductors is connected to the power bus. Each one of the inductors is further connected to at least one of the loads and to at least one of the power supplies, such that each adjacent pair of the inductors is connected in parallel relative to at least one of the loads. Each of the inductors has an inductance value sufficient so that if a fault develops on the power bus it serves to isolate the power supplies from the power bus. The inductance value further is such that if any one of the power supplies fails, the specific pair of inductors coupled in parallel to the load associated with the failed power supply allows the load to draw power over the power bus from other ones of the power supplies through the specific pair of inductors.
