摘要： Techniques are provided for determination of a guided-munition orientation during flight based on lateral acceleration, velocity, and turn rate of the guided-munition. A methodology implementing the techniques, according to an embodiment, includes obtaining a lateral acceleration vector measurement and a velocity of the guided-munition, and calculating a ratio of the two, to generate an estimated lateral turn vector of the guided-munition. The method also includes integrating the estimated lateral turn vector, over a period of time associated with flight of the guided-munition, to generate a first type of predicted attitude change. The method further includes obtaining and integrating a lateral turn rate vector measurement of the guided-munition, over the period of time associated with flight of the guided-munition, to generate a second type of predicted attitude change. The method further includes calculating a gravity direction vector based on a difference between the first and second types of predicted attitude change.

摘要： A Taint Modeling Function (TMF) finds abstract patterns and uses them to automate the malware detection process. TMF involves the process of statically analyzing a sequence of assembly language instructions and abstracting complex relationships among instruction inputs and outputs into a mathematical function containing a set of algebraic expressions. The set of expressions support fully automating semantic pattern detection in binary code. It deterministically generates outputs given inputs determining code block outputs, for given inputs, without executing the code. It detects code patterns automatically to spot bad coding patterns directly from the binary used to detect bugs statically in the entire application space.

摘要： Techniques are provided for implementing a portable spectrum analyzer. An example system, according to an embodiment, includes a signal analyzer including an RF receiver to receive RF signals from an antenna, an analog-to-digital converter to generate a sampled signal based on the received RF signals, and a signal analysis co-processor to perform cognitive scanning analysis of the sampled signal. The cognitive scanning analysis includes detection, identification, and characterization of digital/analog signal(s) embedded in the sampled signal. The system may further include a communications interface circuit to provide communication between the signal analyzer and an associated mobile host platform (e.g., smartphone). The communication includes transmitting results of the cognitive scanning analysis to the mobile host and receiving parameters from the mobile host to control the operation of the cognitive scanning analysis. The signal analyzer and mobile host are coupled through a shared enclosure such as a hinged case, sleeve, or wallet.

Embodiments amplify the return signal, and drive it into a counter for a fixed period of time. The frequency is the number of counts divided by the count time. An example design amplifier amplifies the return of a single photon response of an avalanche photodiode with a gain of 100 into a digital signal level at a 200 MHz rate with only 84 µW, demonstrating the feasibility of the approach.

摘要： A mid-wave infrared system provides high spatial and temporal resolution measurements of atmospheric temperatures and moisture fields using a constellation of low earth orbit satellites. The disclosed system is smaller, lighter, less complex, and requires less energy than existing systems, due to implementation of an infrared avalanche photodiode array detector that provides enhanced sensitivity with reduced cooling requirements, and an Offner spectrometer having a novel a refractive element inserted near the grating that reduces the size and power requirements of the spectrometer. Embodiments of the disclosed method include deploying a constellation of devices for cooperative infrared sensing of atmospheric phenomena at similar rates, lower cost, and much higher resolution compared to geosynchronous approaches. Some embodiments further include combined analysis of measurements obtained by the disclosed devices with complementary measurements made by other low-earth and high-earth orbital and/or ground-based devices.

摘要： A flash memory process and device for encrypting and storing data in a non-volatile flash memory associated with a host system. The device includes a flash memory, an encryption engine, a key store, a SRAM to interface with the host system, and associated control circuitry. When powered on, the device first determines if a valid encryption key is held in the key store. If a valid key is held in the store, a program flag is set when encrypted data in the flash memory is ready to be decrypted by the engine and stored in the SRAM for use by the host system, or when data originating from the host system and stored in the SRAM is ready to be encrypted by the engine and programmed into the flash memory. The device can be embedded in any host system wherein data must be encrypted while at rest in a memory.
