    • A method is described performed by a wireless communication system comprising a Wireless Local Area Network, WLAN, (110) and a radio access network, RAN, (120) for efficient usage of communication resources in the WLAN and the RAN, the WLAN comprising a WLAN control node (112, 114) and the RAN comprising a RAN control node (122, 124). The method comprises providing the RAN control node (122, 124) with a WLAN MAC-address of a user equipment, UE (100), connected to the RAN, sending, by the UE (100) to the RAN control node (122, 124), signal quality measurements performed by the UE on a downlink, DL, signal received from the WLAN control node and sending, by the UE (100), an identity of the WLAN control node to the RAN control node (122, 124). The method further comprises sending, by the RAN control node (122, 124), the WLAN MAC address of the UE to the WLAN control node (112, 114) based on the identity of the WLAN control node, sending, by the RAN control node (122, 124), an instruction to the UE (100) to send a signal to the WLAN control node and sending, by the UE, a signal to the WLAN control node based on the identity of the WLAN control node in response to the received instruction. The method further comprises performing, by the WLAN control node, uplink, UL, signal quality measurements on the signal received from the UE, determining control information, by the RAN control node, regarding whether or not to grant access for the UE to the WLAN, the control information being based on the performed DL signal quality measurements, sending, by the RAN control node, the control information to the WLAN control node, and selectively granting access to the WLAN for the UE, by the WLAN control node, based on the received control information and the performed UL signal quality measurements.

    • The present disclosure relates to a method performed in a first access node in a wireless network of establishing a communications interface between the first access node arranged to operate according to a first radio access technology and one or more second access nodes arranged to operate according to a second radio access technology. The one or more second access nodes are discovered (S31) based on receipt of respective radio signals representative of each second access node. A second access node of the discovered one or more second access nodes is selected (S32) for establishing a communications interface with. A transport address is derived (S33) for the selected second access node from a node related identity retrieved in the radio signal and an interface setup request message is sent (S34) to the selected second access node. The communications interface is established upon receipt (S35) of an interface setup response message from the selected second access node.

    • Disclosed is a method performed by a 3GPP network node for controlling IP flow mobility performed in a communication network comprising a 3GPP access network (150) and a non-3GPP access network (180, 190), wherein a UE (120) has an IP flow mobility packet data network, PDN, connection set up towards the communication network. The method comprises triggering sending (202) to the UE, a number of IP flow specific radio access network, RAN, assistance parameter values for controlling the UE to route an IP flow of the IP flow mobility PDN connection either over the 3GPP access network (150) or over the non-3GPP access network (180, 190). The IP flow specific RAN assistance parameters may be threshold parameters setting a limit for when to route an IP flow to the 3GPP access network, e.g. LTE,or when to route the IP flows to the non-3GPP access network (e.g. WLAN). That the parameters are IP flow specific means that they are set per IP flow, in other words it is possible to make them differ from one IP flow to another. By sending IP flow specific RAN assistance parameter values to the UE, the UE can route different IP flows of the same IP flow mobility connection over different access networks.
