摘要： A method of controlling an electrical machine, the method comprising selecting an edge of a rotor-position signal as a reference edge and commutating a phase winding of the electrical machine at times relative to the reference edge. The rotor-position signal has at least four edges per mechanical cycle, each of the edges being associated with a respective zero-crossing in back EMF or minimum in inductance of the phase winding. The angular position of at least one of the edges relative to its respective zero-crossing or minimum is different to that of the other edges. The reference edge is then selected from the edges such that the angular position of the reference edge relative to its respective zero-crossing or minimum is the same with each power on of the electrical machine. Additionally, a controller and control system that implement the method.

摘要： A method of delivering a radiation therapy treatment plan to a treatment area of a patient. The treatment plan is delivered using a radiation therapy system including a moveable support for supporting a patient, and a gantry moveable relative to the support. The gantry supports a radiation source, a set of jaws having a jaw width and a multi-leaf collimator for modulating the radiation during delivery of the treatment plan. The support is moved during delivery of the treatment plan to the treatment area, and the width of the jaws is dynamically adjusted during delivery of the treatment plan to the treatment area.

摘要： A status notification system is implemented on a wireless network. In a standard manner, a network user initiates a communication to a "recipient" unit at the user's "source" wireless unit. If the call is unanswered, information relating to the status of the recipient unit is obtained and transmitted for display on the source unit. The displayed status might be "busy," "in a meeting," or the like, as determined by the system and/or as designated by the user of the recipient unit. The status information may be obtained from the recipient unit, by referencing a database record, or by determining the operational condition of the recipient unit. In another embodiment, when the status of a wireless unit changes, or when the user of the wireless unit changes a designated status, the change in status is transmitted to each wireless unit listed on a "buddy list" for the user.
