    • Described is a reflector for light emitting devices. A device includes a reflector in contact with a first n-type region and a second n-type region. The reflector includes multiple layers. One layer having an index of refraction different than the other layers. The device includes a light emitting region (LER) in contact with the second n-type region, a p-type region in contact with the LER and a light extraction region (LXR) in contact with the p-type region. A majority of light escapes the device through the LXR. The reflector reflects light emitted by the LER back towards the LXR. In another device, a reflector is embedded in a n-type region of the device. The device includes a LER, a p-type region, and a wavelength converter structure. The reflector reflects light emitted by the wavelength converting structure back towards the wavelength converting structure.

    • In a virtualized computer system without an IOMMU, all application IO requests must be processed by the guest operating system and by the hypervisor so that addresses are translated (twice) and validated (twice) properly. In a virtualized computer system with an IOMMU containing one "stage" of translation, the peripheral can safely be assigned directly to a guest OS because the IOMMU can be programmed to translate and check addresses issued by the device. As a result, route IO overhead due to hypervisor intervention can be eliminated. In one example, in a virtualized computer system with an IOMMU supporting two "stages" of translation, the peripheral can safely be assigned directly to an application within a guest OS. As a result, route IO overhead due to hypervisor and guest OS processing can be eliminated. This allows an application to achieve higher IO performance.

A kiosk includes a kiosk body having a package delivery slot and an interface slot. The system includes a shelving system with shelves having receiving apertures. Dividers fit into the receiving apertures, each divider having a receiving slot. A package retrieving apparatus includes a base, vertical support interconnected with the base, and package picker module. The package picker module is oriented on the vertical support such that the package picker module moves up and down. Grippers surround and grip the object and receiving slots allow for the grippers to grab the object.

    • Described herein are an automatic package delivery and retrieval apparatus, system and method. The automatic package delivery and retrieval includes a Package Delivery Kiosk (PDK), associated front end and back end package delivery management systems, portals for the consumer and the retailer, portals for the common carrier, sender, and recipient, a package inventory management system, integrated retailer access, a real and automated retailer bidding system and a kiosk for distribution. In one embodiment, a system for automated package retrieval and delivery includes a kiosk, package retrieval apparatus, and various computing systems for running the systems. A method for providing packages to customers includes providing a notification with a code to a user that a package is available for retrieval. The method includes storing a package in the kiosk. The method further includes receiving the code from a user at the kiosk and retrieving the package with the automatic retrieval mechanism.
