In a first embodiment, an opto-digital lens system is provided including a wide angle lens (20) and a normal lens (25), the transition between which is smoothed using moderate digital zooming. Starting from the wide angle fixed optical length, the processor (40) may be used to digitally zoom the captured image. 摘要： A parallax compensation system and method is provided for a camera including an independent viewfinder. For close focus pictures, the camera's taking lens is shifted towards the viewfinder. In one embodiment, for far focus pictures the camera's taking lens is moved away from the viewfinder and is not centered on the image recording medium axis. The lens shifting is accomplished by mounting the taking lens eccentrically in a lens barrel. Rotation of the lens barrel shifts the taking lens towards the independent viewfinder for close focus shots. In one embodiment, the viewfinder axis is tilted towards the taking lens to help iliminate parallax in close focus pictures.

摘要： An image capture device (112) is provided which is able to wirelessly communicate with external devices (120, 140) using multiple communications protocols (114). At least one image is acquired and stored by the image capture device. The image capture device (112) then negotiates with the external device to establish basic communications parameters and attempts to communicate with the external device in a first communications protocol. If unsuccessful, the image capture device attempts to communicate with the external device in at least a second communications protocol. If successful, the image is transferred to the external device. If unsuccessful, the image capture device may, optionally, attempt to communicate with the external device in additional different communication protocols. The present image capture device (112) can communicate with a wide variety of device types presently understanding different transmission protocols.
