摘要： An alarm is provided in association with a ceiling rose. In order to provide the alarm with substantially continuous power while still allowing the light to be switched on/off the normal power supply lines are used together with a special light switch. Operation of the light switch produces a modification in the waveform of the AC power supplied to the ceiling rose. This modification is detected by a sensing circuit at the ceiling rose. The sensing unit controls the switching of the light. Preferably the AC power waveform is modified by creating an imbalance between the positive and negative half-cycles of the waveform. This imbalance may be compensated using a balancing circuit at the ceiling rose. By altering the polarity of the imbalance created in the AC waveform it is possible to signal to the sensing circuit that a further switchable unit, e.g. a ceiling fan, connected to the sensing circuit should be switched. If the alarm is a smoke alarm or the like then it is preferred to promote circulation of air within the casing of the unit, as well as to improve the draw of air into the casing, using a heating means and a special arrangement of air flow passages.

摘要： An arrangement in an apparatus or a machine operated from the mains for the transfer of control commands to at least one working means (24) in the apparatus or machine, e.g. a motor or the like, via a wire (13) also used for the power supply to said working means. The arrangement comprises a control unit (10) provided for creating a control command by suppressing, in a predetermined order, at least part of one or several consecutive half-periods of a predetermined polarity of the supply voltage. Moreover, the arrangement comprises a slave unit (11) operating in response to the control command transmitted to activate the working means (24). The control unit (10) has such a design that before a control command is transmitted the control unit operates to shortly disconnect the supply voltage on the wire (13) for a period of time required for the current in the working means (24) to decline essentially to zero.

摘要： A control circuit for connecting an electrical consumer appliance to a supply mains during an adjustable pre-determined time interval comprises a relay switch (7) coupled into the supply line (6) to the consumer appliance, the relay coil of which is activated and deactivated by means of a drive circuit (9) with a timer function. The relay activating signal is provided at the output of the drive circuit and is generated in response to a change of the voltage level of a toggle signal supplied to the drive circuit (9) and generated by a pulse-shaping circuit (13) connected to the supply mains in response to a brief interruption of the supply voltage. Means (C) are associated with an adjusting unit (11) for supplying operating voltage to the drive circuit for maintaining the operating voltage during such a brief interruption.
