Exemplary methods of use include the utilization of the provided adhesive compositions as part of tape to be used outdoors where UV exposure is high. The present invention also provides a simple one-pass calendering process whereby the UV resistant adhesive compositions may be formed and extruded directly onto tape backing.

摘要： A curable composition comprising (A1) a silyl-bearing ethylene/a-olefin/nonconjugated polyene random copolymer rubber which contains constituent units derived from a specific vinyl-terminated norbornene compound and bears specific hydrolyzable silyl groups in the molecule and (B) a compound other than the rubber (A1) which contains a hydroxyl group and/or a hydrolyzable group, for example, (B1) a compound bearing one silanol group in the molecule and/or a compound which reacts with water to form a compound bearing one silanol group in the molecule. This composition can be cured at a high rate to give products of curing which are improved in elongation and residual surface tack and excellent in weather resistance. The composition is suitable for adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives, coating materials, sealants (sealing materials), waterproof materials, spraying compounds, templating materials, casting rubber materials and so on.

摘要： Rubber curing agents such as quinoids are compounded to achieve a uniform or homogeneous distribution thereof in a rubber composition. The quinoid curing agents are initially solubilized in an organic polar solvent and then mixed with the rubber or rubber masterbatch. The organic polar solvent is then removed. A uniform fine distribution of the curing agent results in improved physical properties. The process is an improvement in that it does not require the rubber masterbatch be dissolved in a nonpolar solvent. The present invention is particularly suitable as a sealant composition for tires.

The adhesive contains an amount of a low viscosity, substantially crystalline wax, having a melting point of about 90 DEG C to about 125 DEG C, sufficient to improve the elastic delamination resistance of the adhesive. The adhesives are particularly useful in disposable diaper construction.
