The inventive device comprises a unit embodied in such a way that the light-luminance characteristics of the visual stimulus and the colour backgrounds thereof are modifiable. Said unit makes it possible to carry out a cyclic modification of the light-luminance characteristics of the more luminous visual stimulus and the colour backgrounds thereof with respect to each other.
