摘要： A A process and apparatus are presented for the conversion of light paraffins to heavier liquid fuels or distillate. The process and apparatus includes conversion of a paraffin stream to an olefinic stream. The olefinic stream is passed through a reactor zone to convert the olefins to heavier hydrocarbons, including branched paraffins and branched olefins. The process includes recycling a portion of the product to the reactors for controlling the heat and reaction rate of the dimerization or oligomerization process.

摘要： A process has been developed in which some of the sulfur in a naphtha feed is removed using ionic liquids. The method involves introducing a thermally or catalytically cracked naphtha stream containing sulfur compounds and a naphtha-immiscible ionic liquid into an ionic liquid desulfurization zone to remove a first portion of the sulfur compounds to form a mixture of reduced sulfur naphtha and a naphtha-immiscible ionic liquid containing the sulfur compounds; and introducing an effluent from the ionic liquid desulfurization zone and hydrogen into a catalytic hydrodesulfurization zone to remove a second portion of the sulfur compounds.

Na n M m k+ T t Al 1-x E x Si y O z where "n" is the mole ratio of Na to (Al + E), M represents a metal or metals from zinc, Group 1, Group 2, Group 3 and or the lanthanide series of the periodic table, "m" is the mole ratio of M to (Al + E), "k" is the average charge of the metal or metals M, T is the organic structure directing agent or agents, and E is a framework element such as gallium. These zeolites are similar to IM-5 but are characterized by unique compositions and synthesis procedures and have catalytic properties for carrying out various hydrocarbon conversion processes and separation properties for carrying out various separations.

The oligomerate composition has hydrocarbon molecules with minimal branching which make excellent diesel and can also be readily cracked to propylene. 摘要： A process for removing a sulfur compound from a low nitrogen content vacuum gas oil feed includes contacting the low nitrogen content vacuum gas oil feed comprising the sulfur compound with a VGO-immiscible phosphonium ionic liquid to produce a vacuum gas oil and VGO-immiscible phosphonium ionic liquid mixture, and separating the mixture to produce a vacuum gas oil effluent having a reduced sulfur compound content relative to the vacuum gas oil feed. It was found that the amount of the sulfur compound being removed was significantly improved by treating a low nitrogen content vacuum gas oil. The low nitrogen content and especially a low level of polar nitrogen compounds increases the amount of sulfur compounds that can be removed.

摘要： A process for sulfuric acid catalyzed alkylation involving the use of surfactants which form bi-continuous micro-emulsions with the sulfuric acid and the hydrocarbon is described. The bi-continuous phase facilitates and improves the sulfuric acid catalyzed alkylation reactions. The concentration of the surfactant is selected based on the type of olefin feed. Easy to alkylate feeds, such as 2-butene, use lower concentrations of surfactant, while feeds which are harder to alkylate, such as propene or isobutene, use higher concentrations of the surfactant. In addition, increasing the concentration of sulfuric acid when a surfactant is included resulted in higher calculated RON. The use of a surfactant and a high concentration of sulfuric acid can provide a calculated RON over 100 and close to theoretical yields.
