    • Example embodiments presented herein are directed towards a user equipment (101), and corresponding methods therein, for handling a cell change from a first cell to a second cell in a wireless communications network. Some example embodiments may also be directed towards the user equipment altering a duration of a measurement time over which at least one measurement is performed, and altering a measurement bandwidth of the at least one measurement. The alterations may be performed based on associated bandwidths of the first and second cells. Other example embodiments may be directed towards a network node (103, 113, 115), and corresponding method therein, for sending, to the user equipment, a notification of a cell change and information associated with the cell change. Example embodiments may further comprise the network node receiving measurement data of at least one measurement performed over an altered measurement bandwidth and an altered duration of measurement time, where the alterations are based on the information associated with the cell change.

    • A user equipment (36) herein resolves timing ambiguities associated with when the user equipment (360 is to perform assisted positioning measurements. The user equipment (36) receives assistance data that indicates positioning occasion periodicities of a first cell and a reference cell, and that indicates a positioning occasion timing offset between those cells. The user equipment (36) performs signal detection at candidate timing offsets surrounding the indicated positioning occasion timing offset, to determine which candidate timing offset has the greatest probability of being the actual positioning occasion timing offset between the first cell and the reference cell. The user equipment (36) may then time assisted positioning measurements for the first cell based on the candidate timing offset determined as most likely being the actual timing offset, rather than necessarily timing those measurements based on the offset indicated in the assistance data.

Such calculation and transmission enables the user equipment (36) to be certain that the next reference cell positioning occasion occurring after its reception of the assistance data is the reference cell positioning occasion on which the assistance data is based.

    • The disclosure relates to a method in a macro base station of a heterogeneous wireless communication system, for reducing uplink interference at a radio base station with restricted wireless access.     • The present invention provides a method and apparatus for autonomously detecting whether a reference signal within an OFDM signal transmitted by a remote transmitter is or is not muted for a given transmission time. Muting or puncturing may be applied to all or only a portion of the reference signal. The method, which may be carried out in an appropriately configured radio apparatus, includes receiving the OFDM signal and calculating a first comparison metric from signal samples of the OFDM signal corresponding to a first set of resource elements of the OFDM signal, and calculating a second comparison metric from signal samples of the OFDM signal corresponding to a second set of resource elements of the OFDM signal. The method continues with determining whether the reference signal is or is not muted for the given transmission time, by comparing the first and second comparison metrics, and foregoing or performing reference signal measurements responsive to determining that the reference signal is or is not muted.
