摘要： A system for use with a subterranean well can include a tubular string with a fluid discharge apparatus, the fluid discharge apparatus including a curved flow path which directs a fluid to flow less toward a structure external to the tubular string. A fluid discharge apparatus can include a generally tubular housing having a longitudinal axis, and at least one curved flow path which directs fluid to flow more parallel to the longitudinal axis from an interior of the housing to an exterior of the housing. A method of mitigating erosion of a structure external to a discharge port in a well can include directing a fluid to flow through a curved flow path, thereby reducing impingement of the fluid on the structure in the well.

摘要： In one embodiment, the present invention provides an apparatus for creating pulsating fluid flow, including an inlet (401) into which fluid flows and a chamber (303) having an upstream end and a downstream end. The chamber is defined by a pair of outwardly-projecting sidewalls (304, 304‘), and the inlet is disposed at the upstream end of the chamber. This particular embodiment further includes at least two feedback passages (307, 307‘) with opposed entrances (308, 308‘) at the downstream end of the chamber and opposed exits at the upstream end of the chamber, near where the chamber joins the inlet. At least one feedback (311) outlet leaves each of the feedback passages. A feedback cavity (310) is disposed at the downstream end of the chamber. The downhole fluid flow control device (188) includes a downhole surface (190) subjectable to an erosive stress (196, 198) which may be a moving fluid or an erosive agent, for example. A shaped memory alloy (192) is integrated with the downhole surface (190) in order to provide erosion resistance by reversibly transforming from an austenitic phase (194) to a martensitic phase (200) in response to the application of the erosive stress (196, 198). Further, the shape memory alloy (192) reversibly transforms from the martensitic phase (200) to the austenitic phase (192) in response to the presence of sufficient heat.
