    • A toilet auger includes first and second elongate tubular housings (14, 22), drain cleaning cable (16), a driven member (50), and-a feed mechanism (18). The first housing (14) includes a rotational axis (24). The second housing (22) receives at least a portion of the first housing. The drain cleaning cable is disposed in the first housing and includes a portion disposed along the rotational axis. The driven member (50) connects to the first housing for rotating the first housing thereby rotating at least a portion of the cable. The feed mechanism is configured to axially displace the cable as the cable rotates. A method for removing an obstruction from a toilet drain is also disclosed.

    • A cleaning apparatus useful for cleaning the interior of a pipeline contains: (A) a platform of a dimension sufficient to be inserted through an opening in the pipeline, the platform containing one or more portions; (B) a fluid interruptor having one or more parts to provide a surface to contact fluid flow and thereby interrupt fluid flow, the fluid interruptor constructed and arranged to be attached to the platform; a downstream side of the fluid interruptor being supported by members connected to the platform to dispose the fluid interruptor against fluid flow; (C) runners attached to the underside of the platform to contact an inner diameter of the pipeline; whereby the supported fluid interruptor, platform ahd runners redirect fluid flow between an underside of the platform and an inner surface of the pipeline; and (D) a device located downstream of the fluid interruptor to constrict the volume of the redirected fluid and increase its flow rate; whereby fluid flow is increased to move solid waste in the pipeline; and method for utilization of the cleaning apparatus to assist in relocation of solids in a pipeline for extraction therefrom, such as sewer lines or storm drains. The apparatus may further have opposing support members on an upper face of the platform; a rudder to orient disposition of the apparatus; one or more ballasts to correct any listing of the apparatus during use; and/or one or more seals or skirts that help the sled better form to the pipe.

The invention provides for the isolation of a portion (12) of pipeline (2) and liquid can be removed from said portion (12) to pass through a cleaning system (23) which includes one or more liquid cleaning and/or decontamination stages. The cleaning system (23) can be mobile to allow the same to be moved to the location of the pipeline portion (12).

    • An assembly for rotating and axially directing a high pressure spray hose and spray head to clean residue from the bores of thermal transfer tubes. The assembly includes a number of modular subassemblies that are concentrically aligned and mounted to rotate in synchrony and direct a high-pressure water hose and spray head. An air controlled operator control gun directs spray pressure and hose movement. A hose cleaning subassembly washes and/or brushes and cleans the hose exterior with a low­ pressure spray. A hose drive assembly controls hose rotation and axial hose movement via biased pinch wheels that abut the hose. An eccentric linkage and spring tensioners coupled to the pinch wheels release and re-engage the wheels to the hose at a preset pressure. A layering arm stacks the hose in uniform layers at a hose reel. The diameter of the reel hub can adjusted relative to an outer cage. Rotational sensors and/or a pneumatic booster and a disk brake assembly facilitate hose collection and release without kinking or spillage.
