    • The invention relates to processes for the metallization of parts made of plastic material, more particularly polycarbonate. It comprises the maximum elimination, during the metallization operations, of the use of alkaline products. More particularly, the final step uses a process for the electrolytic or chemical deposition in a strongly acid bath. It avoids the hydrolysis of polycarbonate which would cause the removal of the metallization and it also avoids the formation of blisters on the paint which optionally covers said metallization.
