The method includes determining input and output lengths for deblocking filtering of sample values for a first and second side of a potential blocking boundary. The input and output lengths are consecutive sample values, from a sample value closest to the potential blocking boundary to one or more other sample values spaced from the potential blocking boundary. The input and output lengths are determined based on a number of consecutive sample values from the sample value closest to the potential blocking boundary to another sample value closest to a neighboring potential blocking boundary. The method includes deblocking filtering of the sample values on the at least one of the first and second side of the potential blocking boundary, using the input and output lengths, to generate deblocked sample values.

摘要： A method for processing a current block in a unit of a current image is provided. The method includes determining that a condition is true; and in response to determining that the condition is true, applying deblocking filtering to at least one internal boundary of the current block based on a deblocking criterion. Applying deblocking filtering comprises modifying at least one sample value neighboring the at least one internal boundary. The condition is true if: (i) the current block in the image has been predicted from a reference area of the current image that comprises more than one block; (ii) an internal boundary in the current block is a boundary between a first area (A) and a second area (B), where area A is predicted from one block (block1) and area B is predicted from another block (block2); and (iii) at least one deblocking criterion holds for at least one internal boundary of the current block.

The picture comprises a first block of samples, wherein each sample in the first block of samples has sample values associated with at least a luma color component and a chroma color component. Each color component is assigned a first quantization parameter. The method comprises quantizing at least one transform coefficient of a residual for the at least one color component in the first block of samples with a second quantization parameter, wherein the second quantization parameter is equal to the sum of the first quantization parameter and the quantization parameter change for the at least one color component. 摘要： A method of processing pixels in a picture of a video sequence comprising multiple pictures comprises identifying a pixel to be processed in the picture for which a variation in a linear representation of a color of the pixel that is smaller than a first threshold value results in a variation in a non-linear representation of the color that is larger than a second threshold value. The variation in the linear representation of the color also results in a variation in a luminance and chrominance based representation of the color that is smaller than a third threshold value. The method also comprises processing the identified pixel by modifying a value of at least one color component of the pixel. The method achieves a selective denoising of particular color components in certain situations to reduce the encoding cost yet do not significantly affect the visual quality.
