    • A base station in a downlink of a wireless communication system requires downlink channel status information of terminals to transmit link-adaptive transmission to the terminals. This channel status information is generated as a terminal receives a reference signal to be transmitted via the downlink, and fed back to the base station through a control channel of the uplink. Therefore, an increase in the transmission cycle of the reference signal and the feedback cycle of the channel status information may increase a difference between the channel status having been fed back from a terminal to the base station and the channel status at the point when data is actually transmitted to the terminal, thereby causing inefficient link-adaptive transmission and deteriorating the system performance. The present invention thus provides a method and apparatus for designing an uplink periodic feedback structure for reducing the channel status difference in case a reference signal for the estimation of a downlink channel status is transmitted over a prolonged cycle, and distributing a feedback overhead of terminals in terms of the system.

    • A cellular mobile communication system comprises: a terminal which obtains C-port information from a base station by attempting an initial access, selects distributed antennas for D-port information after having transmitted an SRS, and communicates with said base station through said selected distributed antennas and a central antenna; and the base station which transmits the C-port information disposed in the center of a cell during the attempt of the initial access of said terminal, indicates the terminal to transmit the SRS, receives said SRS through the central antenna and distributed antennas, which are distributed within the cell and transmit and receive data with the terminal in some areas of the cell service areas, selects at least one distributed antenna by analyzing said SRS, notifies the terminal of the D-port information of said selected distributed antennas, and communicates with said terminal through said selected distributed antennas and the central antenna. Thus, the invention maximizes the use of RS resources in the DAS. Therefore, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the cellular mobile communication system enables the DM-RSs to be efficiently generated and transmitted through antennas arranged in the center and the vicinity of a cell, whereby data is transmitted and received to and from each terminal at a high data rate regardless of the position of the terminals located within the cell.
