摘要： A continuous pressure letdown system (10) connected to a hopper decreases a pressure of a 2-phase (gas and solid) dusty gas stream flowing through the system. The system (10) includes a discharge line (18) for receiving the dusty gas from the hopper (14), a valve (16), a cascade nozzle assembly (28) positioned downstream of the discharge line (18), a purge ring (20), an inert gas supply (24) connected to the purge ring (20), an inert gas throttle (26), and a filter (32). The valve connects the hopper (14) to the discharge line (18) and controls introduction of the dusty gas stream into the discharge line (18). The purge ring (20) is connected between the discharge line (18) and the cascade nozzle assembly (28). The inert gas throttle (26) controls a flow rate of an inert gas into the cascade nozzle assembly (28). The filter (32) is connected downstream of the cascade nozzle assembly (28).
