摘要： A method for making security documents using an electro photographic printer, particularly a photocopier or laser printer, includes the step of exposing the printed image to an accelerator, in liquid or vapour form. Under the influence of the accelerator, a second dye contained in the toner, used in producing the image, migrates into the document, thereby producing a second image in the paper in registration with the printed image. The process is applicable to images created on paper, security paper, and synthetic papers.

摘要： A process for providing a direct optical readout of a pattern or collection of data in a plurality of distinctive colors on a dielectric film capable of receiving information by exposure to an electron beam imaging source, which process comprises subjecting said film to a series of separate exposures from an electron beam source, each exposure representing a portion of the overall pattern or collection of data to be transmitted; treating said film after each exposure intended to distinguish a portion of the overall information with a toner of a distinctive color which combination of colors may be selected for maximum definition and contrast; and separately drying each of said toners on said film before re-exposing said film to said electron beam source for receipt of an additional portion of the pattern or information to be transmitted. The above procedure of exposure, toning and drying may be repeated as many times as required until all of the information of the desired pattern has been transmitted to the film and the film displays the complete information of the imaged pattern in a visual multi-colored format of high resolution, clarity and contrast. The invention also relates to the multicolored dielectric film product of the process.

摘要： Foil images are formed simultaneously with color toner images on a receiver material. One or more color toner latent images are formed on the receiver material using dry color toners. Each dry color toner has a (a) polymeric resin, a (b) pigment colorant, and a (c) wax that has a melting temperature defined as Tcolor. A foiling latent image is formed using a dry foiling toner that has a (a') polymeric resin and a (c') wax that has a melting temperature defined as Tfoiling. The foiling latent image is in an area that is different from the color image areas and Tfoiling is less than Tcolor by at least 15℃. All toners are simultaneously fixed in a fuser oil-free fixing operation. A printing foil can be brought into intimate contact with the fused foiling toner at a foiling temperature (FT) that is greater than Tfoiling but less than Tcolor.

摘要： An image-forming method includes a step of allowing electrically-conductive light-transmitting particles to adhere electrostatically to the surface of a photo-conductive substrate, a step of exposing the surface to the light of an image above the particles, and a step of separating particles which transmitted the light from those which did not transmit the light, to obtain a particle image formed by either of these groups of particles. The method includes an additional step, which is carried out after to the exposure step, of equalizing the potentials of the particles which transmitted the light, and the potentials of the particles which did not transmit the light. Thus it is possible to eliminate the conventional disadvantage that color purity is reduced in portions of high color density.
