摘要： A stable floating barge-platform (10) for offshore operations and a method for assembling the same are disclosed. The barge-platform (10) is assembled from a plurality of substantially identical buoyant modules (11a, 11b, 11c and 11d) all of which have substantially the same outer configuration. The buoyant modules (11a, 11b, 11c and 11d) are constructed onshore and transported to an offshore location where they are positioned and connected together to form the platform. When connected, an opening (12) will be present through the center of the platform. This opening reduces the bottom area of the platform and accordingly substantially reduces the wave forces on the platform.
