摘要： Textile materials having radar attenuating properties comprise a polymer enclosed scrim characterised in that the material further comprises hollows which are at least partially filled with radar attenuating material. Preferred embodiments of the invention have the scrim sandwiched between two or more polymeric layers, wherein the spaces comprise the interstices of the scrim. Suitable radar attenuating materials for inclusion in the spaces include carbon granules, carbon fibre, carbonyl iron, ferrites or metal coated microspheres, but other suitable materials will occur to those skilled in the art. Carbon fibre is conveniently used in chopped or otherwise relatively short fibre form. The textiles offer lightweight with equivalent radar attenuation performance to known textiles and may be formed such that further radar attenuating material is provided in polymeric components to provide enhanced attenuation effect.

The continuous network region has a pattern formed therein by a plurality of tessellating unit cells. Each cell has a center and at least two continuous land areas extending in at least two directions from the center. At least one of the continuous land areas at least bifurcates to form a continuous land area portion having a first width before the bifurcation and at least two continuous land area portions having a second width after the bifurcation.

摘要： Methods of making a wood enhancement agent treated engineered wood product. The wood enhancement agent includes at least one of a preservative, a water repellant, a fungicide, an insecticide, a stabilizing agent, wax, an ultra-violet light inhibitor, and combinations thereof, and may also include an antioxidant. The wood enhancement agent is incorporated into the engineered wood product during a billet making process or after forming the billet. The wood enhancement agent may be applied simultaneously with a bonding agent or at a later time, for example applied to a scrim log mat during a pre-press process or inside a steam press chamber. Alternatively, the wood enhancemen agent may be applied to a warm billet after steam press, or to a reheated billet, by dipping, spraying, flood coating, diffusion, vacuum impregnation, pressure, or a combination thereof.
