摘要： A tracking system for items to be ionizing radiation sterilized is provided which utilizes an attached RF ID tag that is ionizing radiation proof or enclosed in an ionizing radiation proof holder. The RF ID tag is coded with a unique identification and certification data on the ionizing radiation sterilization. An RF ID tag reader is provided, which is usable by a user to obtain the identification and sterilization data from the RF ID tag on the item. The RF ID tag reader includes a user input for at least one trackable event and can write data based on the at least one trackable event back onto the RF ID tag. The RF ID tag reader is at least one of connectable to a PC or the internet, or is compatible for uploading the identification and any user input to an internet accessible device. A database is provided, having item related information. The database provides access to a user to obtain related information based on the identification from the RF ID tag and receives and stores data related to the at least one trackable event.

摘要： The present invention is directed at a patient monitoring system for the real-time detection of epileptic seizures suffered by a user of the monitoring system. The system comprises control means for receiving measuring signals and, conditional upon the measuring signals, generating an alarm signal, at least one hart rate sensor for measuring the heart rate of the user and, subject to the measurement, generating a heart rate signal, and at least one muscular tension sensor for measuring the change and the intensity of the contraction of at least one muscle of the user and, subject to the measurement, generating a muscle contraction signal. The control means are designed for, subject to both the heart signal and the muscle contraction signal, generating an alarm signal when the user suffers an epileptic seizure.

摘要： The invention relates to a device comprising a wireless mobile robot which is radio linked to a modem-equipped personal computer; an Internet server that can be used to acquire video and audio sequences; and a mobile phone-type terminal, PDA (pocket computers) or portable computer equipped with a wireless telephone and modem. The robot, which may be animal- or technical robot-shaped, is fitted with a camera and a group of motors and sensors which provide said robot with its capabilities in terms of mobility, intrusion and fire alarm monitoring and remote manipulation by means of a gripper or other remote-controlled actuators. The invention relates to two main fields of application: (i) The invention is an original and very reassuring alarm system for property owners which can be used to activate a camera at the moment of the intrusion and to send images immediately to an Internet server. The owner is informed automatically and can view what is occurring at his/her premises using a terminal which is wireless connected to said Internet server. The invention is characterised in that even if the intruder destroys the robot, the images will already have been stored as they were sent over the Internet. (ii) The invention can be used from holiday locations, for example, for the remote manipulation of objects via the Internet (to control apparatus, feed animals).
