According to the interruptions of the delivery current, the insulating piece (10) is periodically free or essentially free from fluid. The insulating piece (10) is constructed as a hollow body whose inner width is equal to or greater than the pipe to be connected. Connection pieces for connecting the pipe, which have the same diameter as the connecting pipe, are provided on the lateral sides of the insulation piece (10), which are closed at least in areas by means of closing elements. The connecting pieces reach through the closing elements with close fit and each has a torus-like shaping on the inner ends thereof. The exterior ends of the connection pieces are prepared for connecting to the pipe.
