    • A suspension system (10) for supporting a frame member (20) on one side of a vehicle chassis on the adjacent end of an axle (26) comprises first and second frame brackets (18, 36), a single-leaf leaf spring (14), a leaf spring attachment member (46) and a wear plate (41). The leaf spring attachment member (46) mounts to the rear end of the leaf spring (14) and connects the leaf spring (14) with the second frame bracket (36). The leaf spring attachment member (46) includes an arcuate upper surface (62) and a bottom surface. A rebound bolt (52) connects the rear end of the leaf spring (14) and the leaf spring attachment member (46) with the second frame bracket (36) and restricts the movement of the leaf spring (14) to a controlled range. The wear plate (41) is connected to the second frame bracket (36) and is associated with the leaf spring attachment member (46).

    • The invention relates to a front wheel suspension system arranged to support a vehicle chassis suspended for movement relative to its wheels, said suspension comprising a double leaf spring arrangement on each side of the chassis (3). A first leaf spring (1 ) connection means pivotably connects each said leaf spring to the chassis at a first end. A second leaf spring connection means is connected to each said leaf spring (2) at its opposite, second end by a linkage means (6, 7) which is carried on a pivot pin (8, 9) pivotably attached to a first arm of a lever (12, 13) that is supported by a pivotal connection on the vehicle chassis (3). A length adjustable unit (16) is mounted on each side of the chassis, and each said length adjustable unit (16) being operatively connected to a second arm (18, 19) of said lever for each said leaf spring, wherein each said length adjustable unit is arranged to effect a substantially vertical displacement of the second end of each leaf spring (1, 2) relative to the chassis (3).
