    • The invention relates to a method and an industrial device for washing the entire outer surface of domestic butane-gas cylinders or any other object having a similar shape and geometry. The purpose of the washing method and device is to remove any soil, dust, domestic grease, and various impurities present on empty cylinders upon the reception thereof in filling facilities for filling the same, either for restoring their initial clean appearance or for repainting those in a state requiring their repainting after washing. The present invention offers to said filling facilities a novel method and a novel device for carrying out, in a continuous and independent manner without human intervention, an efficient and uniform washing by brushing the entire surface of the upper dome and of the generatrix of 3, 6 or 12 kg cylinders to be washed with or without their cap, with an innovative and particular design configuration of the device that provides very attractive operating and maintenance costs. The technical field of the present invention is that of butane-gas cylinder filling facilities, of industrial sites for producing and storing these cylinders, and of other activities that could benefit from the invention for washing similar products.

As the stem (14) rotates cleaning fluid is sprayed through nozzles (28) and the brushes (16A and 16B) scrub the inside surface of the bin (12) to clean the bin (12).
