    • Das dentale Implantatsystem weist ein Dentalimplantat (1) und ein Aufbauelement (2) auf. Das Implantat (1) hat einen vorteilhafterweise rotationssymmetrischen koronalen Implantatbereich (1.2) mit einer zylindrischen Form oder der Form eines steilen Kegelstumpfes und mit einer osseointegrativ ausgerüsteten Mantelfläche. Das Aufbauelement (2) hat einen sich apikal erstreckenden Mantelbereich (2.1), der kappenförmig und vorteilhafterweise in einer frei wählbaren Drehposition auf den koronalen Implantatbereich (1.2) stülpbar ist, so dass er an der Implantatmantelfläche anliegt. Damit bildet die an der Mantelfläche des koronalen Implantatbereichs (1.2) anliegende Saumlinie (2.3) des Mantelbereichs (2.1) mit der genannten Mantelfläche den physiologisch relevanten Mikrospalt. Das Implantat (1) wird vorzugsweise für eine transmukosale Einheilung implantiert. Nach der Einheilung wird das Aufbauelement (2), dessen Saumlinie (2.3) z.B. dem Verlauf der natürlichen Knochenoberfläche um das Implantat entspricht, auf dem koronalen Implantatbereich (1.2) aufgesetzt, wobei eine axiale Länge des Mantelbereiches und die Drehposition des Aufbauelements relativ zum Implantat derart gewählt wird, dass der Mikrospalt rund um das Implantat um die biologische Breite (D) über die natürliche Knochenoberfläche zu liegen kommt. Axiale Position und Verlauf des Mikrospaltes werden also nicht durch das Implantat (1) vorbestimmt, sondern sie werden nach der Einheilung des Implantates (1) eingestellt. Damit kann ohne höchste Anforderungen an die Implantationsgenauigkeit Knochenabbau zur Einstellung der biologischen Breite (D) zwi­schen Knochenoberfläche und Mikrospalt vermieden werden.
