    • The present invention relates to moving networks in communication systems. An object of the invention is to provide moving network nodes (205, 206) in a moving network (201) with the ability to simultaneously access several external access networks (211, 212, 213) accessible by different mobile routers (204, 207) such that a data packet directed to an address external to the moving network can be sent from a moving network node via any of the mobile routers (204, 207) and via a tunnel setup in any of the simultaneously accessible external accesses to a home agent (216) in a home network (215) of the mobile router. This is achieved by synchronizing between the mobile routers data regarding the external accesses of each mobile router, and, when a data packet is received at a first mobile router (204), the first mobile router selects external access based on the synchronized external access information, information in the data packet and optionally also based on access selection policies. If a selected access belongs to e.g. a second mobile router (207), the packet is forwarded from the first mobile router to the second mobile router before it is sent to the home agent (215) via the tunnel setup through the selected access (211).

    • Methods and devices for connecting a terminal (15) to one of a plurality of service providing networks (3.1, 3.2) through a broadband remote access server (17) are described. In one method an access node (13) is connected between an access point (1) of terminals and the access server. The access node includes a VLAN handling unit having a memory for storing identifications of Ethernet frames transmitted in a first VLAN (43) including the access node and a local virtual router function unit (49) of the access server and in second VLANs (41.1, 41.2). Each of the second VLANs include the access node and one of the virtual router function units (47.1, 47.2) of the access server for each of the service providing networks. A control unit in the access node commands the handling unit to transmit frames from a new user device that has connected itself to the access point into the first virtual local area network. The control unit also receives information from the access server in respect of routing of frames and it commands the handling unit to transmit frames from a user device which is connected to the access point and the frames from which are transmitted into the first VLAN to be instead transmitted into one of the second VLANs as given by information received from the access server, the frames thereby being transmitted to the access server (19) of the respective service providing network.

    • A method and apparatus for measuring a performance indicator reflecting the performance of an IP service consumed or invoked by a user terminal in a service session. A message detector (604) detects service-related messages communicated with a policy control node (106) for the service session. A session database (110) logs a message type with a timestamp for each detected message as raw data in a session entry. A filter engine (112) selects a predefined performance filter associated with the performance indicator based on information in the session entry, applies the selected performance filter on the raw data, and calculates the performance indicator from the filtered data using a predefined algorithm corresponding to the applied performance filter. Thereby, performance indicators can be measured for IP services with a minimum of complexity, using the logged service-related messages communicated with the policy control node.
