The method comprises detecting (301) first synchronization signaling of a first cell on first time and frequency resources. The first synchronization signaling comprises at least a first synchronization signal (501) and a second synchronization signal (502). The method further comprises detecting (302) indication signaling (503) on second time and frequency resources. The second time and frequency resources are derived based on the first time and frequency resources. The method further comprises accessing (303) the first cell if the indication signaling is detected on the second time and frequency resources. Accessing the first cell comprises decoding a first system information message on a broadcast channel (504) of the first cell. The first system information message indicates time and frequency resources of a first resource set. The disclosure also pertains to related devices and methods.

摘要： A wireless communication device (12) conditions its use of Preconfigured Uplink Resources (PUR), as preconfigured by a wireless communication network (16), on assessing the validity of a Timing Advance (TA) value used by the device (12) for controlling its uplink transmission timing. The device (12) maintains a timer (37) and deems the TA value to be invalid upon expiration of the ti mer (37). In an example case, a device (12) operating in idle mode performs a PUR-based transmission in dependence on the timer (37) not being expired. A radio network node (10) of the network (16) maintains a like timer (57), to maintain an awareness of TA validity at the device (12) and, for example, sends an updated TA for the device (12) upon receiving a PUR-based transmission from the device (12). The device (12) and the node (10) may refresh their respective timers, in association with the TA update.

摘要： In a wireless communication network that implements the RRC Resume procedure, an eNB (11) sends to a radio network device (30), which was previously connected and has been given a Resume ID, a paging message or Random Access Response message including an RRC Resume directive. The RRC Resume directive comprises at least an indication whether or not the radio network device (30) should perform an RRC Resume procedure. If the RRC Resume directive indicates the radio network device (30) should not perform an RRC Resume procedure, the radio network device (30) performs an RRC Connection procedure. If the RRC Resume directive indicates the radio network device (30) should perform an RRC Resume procedure, it may include additional information to optimize or otherwise assist the RRC Resume procedure. In this manner, RRC Resume signaling is avoided when the eNB (11) knows that it will not be successful, such as if a prior RRC connection context is not available or readily retrievable, or is invalid.
