摘要： A method for interference cancellation in a device that receives transmissions from multiple sources is disclosed. The method includes receiving multiple slots, each including a pilot segment and a traffic segment. A first one of the slots includes information indicating an activity level of a traffic segment of the first one of the slots. The method also includes calculating a value associated with interference among the plurality of slots, utilizing the information indicating the activity level to account for an amount of interference attributable to the first one of the slots. Furthermore, channel conditions are estimated for a second one of the slots using the value associated with the amount of interference. The method also includes processing the second one of the slots according to the estimated channel conditions.

摘要： A UE may identify a first set of preserved resources of one or more sets of preserved resources. An aircraft-borne device may identify a first set of preserved resources of one or more sets of preserved resources. The first set of preserved resources may be associated with a time domain starting point, a time domain duration, and a frequency domain resource allocation. The UE may transmit, to an aircraft-borne device and the aircraft-borne device may, receive from the UE, over at least part of the first set of preserved resources, a synchronization signal and a first payload message. The first payload message may include a first emergency message and may be transmitted and received via one of a first PUSCH, a first PSSCH, or a PSCCH. The aircraft-borne device may forward, to a base station or another aircraft-borne device, at least the first emergency message.

摘要： Techniques for transmitting and receiving pilots (reference signals) in a wireless network are described. In an aspect, information may be conveyed based on specific resources used to send a signal, e.g., a pilot. A pseudo- random function may receive the information to convey via the pilot and possibly other information and may provide pseudo-random values, which may be used to select the resources to use to send the pilot. In one design, a transmitter (e.g., a base station for a sector) may determine first information (e.g., a sector ID) to convey via a pilot and may also determine second information for absolute time (e.g. a pilot cycle index). The transmitter may determine resources (e.g., slots) to use to send the pilot based on the first and second information and possibly based further on a pseudo- random, PN, offset assigned to the sector. The transmitter may transmit the pilot in the determined resources. The sector ID may be recovered at a receiver based on a pilot cycle index and other information.

摘要： Embodiments disclosed herein relate to methods and systems for providing adaptive server selection in wireless communications. An access terminal may be configured to determine a forward link quality metric associated with each of a plurality of sectors serviced by a plurality of access points; assign credits to each sector in relation to the forward link quality metric; and change a data source control (DSC) value if the credits accumulated for a non-serving sector at a DSC change boundary is greater than a predetermined threshold, where the non-serving sector and the serving sector for the access terminal belong to different cells. The access terminal may be further configured to change a data rate control (DRC) cover in accordance with the DSC change. The use of DSC may provide an early indication of handoff, thereby allowing the service outage associated with server switching to be substantially reduced.

The method comprises determining, by a transmitter including a quantity of antennas, a quantity of transmitted layers; mapping a quantity of data symbols to the antennas using a quantity of precoders; generating a quantity of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) antenna ports based on the quantities of the antennas, the transmitted layers, and the precoders; and determining whether to precode at least one of the DMRS antenna ports with the precoders. The method further maps the precoded data symbols and the DMRS antenna ports to a quantity of resource elements. The method then modulates a signal comprising the resource elements and transmits the modulated signal to a receiver. Subsequently, the method estimates a channel received by the receiver over the DMRS antenna ports.
