摘要： A ceiling embedded type or ceiling suspension type air conditioner employing a cross−fin type heat exchanger in which the effective length of the heat exchanger is increased without increasing the casing size of an indoor unit. The indoor unit (1) comprises a casing (11) for holding the components of the indoor unit (1) and having an air inlet (20) and an air outlet (21), a centrifugal fan (17) disposed in the casing (11) and blowing out air sucked from the air inlet (20) sideways, and a cross−fin type heat exchanger (27) disposed to surround the centrifugal fan (17) in order to exchange heat with air blown out from the centrifugal fan (17). The heat exchanger (27) has a plurality of recesses (28) formed to approach the outer circumferential part of the centrifugal fan (17), and a plurality of protrusions (29) formed to recede from the outer circumferential part of the centrifugal fan (17).
