摘要： A ball check valve assembly (22) has a port (36) of circular cross section. O-ring seat (38) is aligned with the port; elastomeric O-ring (28) is positioned in the seat. Spacer (40), outward of the O-ring seat, has a dimension adjacent the O-ring seat greater than the cross sectional diameter of the O-ring when unstressed. O-ring capture means (48) limits travel of the O-ring away from the port and provides a central aperture for a valve ball (25). The O-ring has an ID less than the diameter of the ball and an OD greater than the diameter of the aperture; the spacer ID is at least 1/2 % greater than the OD of the O-ring. During closing travel of the ball, the O-ring is free to move transversely to the direction of such travel to impact on the O-ring equally over the contacted surface.
