Also provided is a process (30) to produce paraffinic products suitable for use as or conversion to oilfield hydrocarbons which includes separating (110) a Fischer-Tropsch wax (124) into at least a lighter fraction (126, 128) and a heavier fraction (130), hydrocracking (120) the heavier fraction (130) to provide a cracked intermediate (144), and separating (122) the cracked intermediate (144) into at least a naphtha fraction (148), a heavier than naphtha paraffinic distillate fraction (150) suitable for use as or conversion to oilfield hydrocarbons, and a bottoms fraction (152) which is heavier than the paraffinic distillate fraction (150).

    • The present invention provides a process for producing liquid hydrocarbon products from solid biomass and/or residual waste feedstocks, said process comprising the steps of : a) hydropyrolysing the solid feedstock in a hydropyrolysis reactor vessel in the presence of molecular hydrogen and one or more deoxygenation catalyst, producing a product stream comprising partially deoxygenated hydropyrolysis product, H 2 O, H 2 , CO 2 , CO, C 1 - C 3 gases, char and catalyst fines; b) removing said char and catalyst fines from said product stream; c) hydroconverting said partially deoxygenated hydropyrolysis product in a hydroconversion reactor vessel in the presence of one or more hydroconversion catalyst and of the H 2 O, CO 2 , CO, H 2 , and C 1 - C 3 gas generated in step a), producing a vapour phase product comprising substantially fully deoxygenated hydrocarbon product, H 2 O, CO, CO 2 , and C 1 - C 3 gases; d) condensing the vapour phase product of step d) to provide a liquid phase product comprising substantially fully deoxygenated C4+ hydrocarbon liquid and aqueous material and separating said liquid phase product from a gas phase product comprising H 2 , CO, CO 2 , and C 1 - C 3 gases; e) removing the aqueous material from the substantially fully deoxygenated C4+ hydrocarbon liquid; and f) hydroprocessing at least a portion of the substantially fully deoxygenated C4+ hydrocarbon liquid in a hydroprocessing reactor vessel in the presence of hydrogen and one or more hydroprocessing catalysts, each hydroprocessing catalyst comprising at least one reduced metal on a solid support, in order to provide an upgraded liquid hydrocarbon stream.

    • A process is provided to prepare middle distillates products, the process at least comprising the following steps : (a) providing a feed stream comprising a natural gas and a condensate and separating the feed stream into a natural gas feed stream and a condensate feed stream; (b) preparing a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen from the natural gas feed stream obtained in step (a); (c) preparing a paraffin product stream by performing a Fischer-Tropsch reaction using carbon monoxide and hydrogen obtained in step (b); (d) separating the paraffin product stream of step (c), thereby obtaining a heavy Fischer-Tropsch product stream comprising hydrocarbons of C20 and above including the majority of the paraffinic wax components of the Fischer-Tropsch reaction in step (c) and a light Fischer- Tropsch product stream comprising hydrocarbons with a distribution in the range C5 to C20; (e) separating the light Fischer-Tropsch product of step (d), thereby obtaining a first paraffinic product fraction having hydrocarbons in the range from C5 to C8, a second paraffinic product fraction having hydrocarbons in the range from C9 to C13, and a third paraffinic product fraction having hydrocarbons in the range from C14 to C20; (f) subjecting the heavy Fischer-Tropsch product stream of step (d) to a hydrocracking/hydroisomerization step thereby obtaining an at least isomerised Fischer- Tropsch product stream; (g) hydrotreating the condensate feed stream of step (a) and the first product fraction of step (e), thereby obtaining a hydrotreated product stream; (h) combining the at least isomerised Fischer- Tropsch product stream of step (f) with the hydrotreated product stream of step (g) to provide a distillate feed stream; and (i) performing a distillation step on the distillate feed stream, wherein the distillation step provides for isolation of middle distillate products; wherein the steps (b), (c) and (f) occur substantially concurrently with step (g).
