摘要： A system (10) and method for providing clinical decision support to a user (15) is presented. The system (10) comprises a Point-of-Care (POC) testing device (50) comprising an integrated clinical decision support module (40). The POC testing device (50) and the clinical decision support module (40) are connected via a testing module-clinical decision support module interface (30). The system (10) also comprises a testing module (20) between the user (15) and the POC testing device (50). The testing module (20) is configured to request tests from the user (15) to the POC testing device (50) and to send completed test results from the POC testing device (50) to the user (15) and to the clinical decision support module (40) via the internal interface (30). The system (10) also comprises a plurality of diverse outside data sources (70) configured to provide external data via a communication connection (60) to the clinical decision support module (40) of the POC testing device (50). The clinical decision support module (40) is configured to use the external data and the completed test results to determine and provide clinical decision support information specifically tailored to the user (15).

摘要： Example embodiments provide systems and methods for automatically interfacing with a screening system configured to screen a plurality of samples according to at least one hit criterion. The hit matching system, which may be accessible to users via a network connection, programmatically identifies a subset of samples that meet the hit criterion; the hit criterion that gave rise to the subset of samples are preserved in an output structure for future re-analysis. The output can be provided to the screening system, which can automatically rescreen the subset of samples. By programmatically pushing the samples to be rescreened back to the screening instrument, the instrument can rescreen the samples in a short period of time. The cherry-picking lists (represented by the subset(s) of samples) allow for selected hits to be re-arrayed in a smaller and more manageable format for secondary and tertiary analysis.

Thus the patient monitor (14) automatically displays the most clinically relevant parameters for the patient at each given moment, which allows a clinician to rapidly ascertain the clinical state of the patient, and to take any necessary action quickly to treat the patient. Medical outcome can be expected to be improved as a result.
