    • The invention relates to a method for producing components from powders and which can be aptly described as hot flow compacting. Components which can be configured in an extremely complex manner are produced from powdery starting materials that are pressed. Production costs are to be kept low and cross-flowing fissures are to be avoided. To achieve this a thermoplastic binding agent or a mixture of binding agents is added to a powder in such a proportion that the dead weight of a green compact does not exceed the liquidity limit when heated during sintering. The powder mixture is incorporated into a heated tool containing the form of the component that is to be produced and the temperature is set above the softening point of the binding agent. The powder mixture is pressed on at least one side by means of a die and is also incorporated into areas perpendicular to direction of pressing by means of a viscous flow. The green compact thus obtained is subsequently sintered.
