The invention further describes a lighting arrangement (2) comprising such an LED lamp (1); a reflector (20) to receive the lamp (1); and an electrical interface for connecting to a controller (3) of the automotive front lighting arrangement.

    • A lighting arrangement (10) with an exchangeable lighting cap (20), a holder (30) for the lighting cap (20) and a lock lever (40) to lock the lighting cap (20) in position on the holder (30) is described. At least one light emitting element (21) is arranged on a front face (22) of the lighting cap (20), emitting light at least in a direction of illumination perpendicular to the front face (22). Additionally, at the edge (24) of the front face (22) of the lighting cap (20) two positioning slots (23 a, b) are arranged in an alignment perpendicular to the direction of illumination. The holder (30) comprises an opening (31) for receiving at least the front face (22) of the lighting cap (20) and two positioning elements (33 a, b) are arranged at a rim (32) of the opening (31), wherein the positioning elements (33a, b) can be inserted into the positioning slots (23a, b) of the lighting cap (20) by elastic deformation to fix the position of the lighting cap (20) on the holder (30). Further, a lock lever (40) is arranged at the lighting cap (20) and at the holder (30), wherein the lock lever (40) can be turned between an open position for inserting the lighting cap (20) into the opening (31) of the holder (30) and a locked position for locking the lighting cap (20) in position on the holder (30).

    • Described is a reflector for light emitting devices. A device includes a reflector in contact with a first n-type region and a second n-type region. The reflector includes multiple layers. One layer having an index of refraction different than the other layers. The device includes a light emitting region (LER) in contact with the second n-type region, a p-type region in contact with the LER and a light extraction region (LXR) in contact with the p-type region. A majority of light escapes the device through the LXR. The reflector reflects light emitted by the LER back towards the LXR. In another device, a reflector is embedded in a n-type region of the device. The device includes a LER, a p-type region, and a wavelength converter structure. The reflector reflects light emitted by the wavelength converting structure back towards the wavelength converting structure.
