摘要： An access node may provide synchronization information to a UE. The access node may further provide one or more information blocks, which may include basic network configuration information. Based on the synchronization information and/or the information block(s), the UE may transmit a message to the access node that includes a random access preamble, an identifier of the UE, and/or a buffer status report. Based on the message from the UE, the access node may determine that the UE should remain active and, therefore, may transmit a response to the first message to the UE indicating that the UE should remain active. Thereafter, the UE may receive a connection setup or connection reconfiguration message. The connection setup or reconfiguration message may be received from the same or different access node from which the UE received the synchronization information and/or the one or more information blocks.

A per-frequency indication providing deployment options for communication with a core network may be used for enhanced cell selection by a user equipment (UE). For example, system information transmitted by a base station may provide information elements that indicate, per radio frequency (or per radio frequency (RF) spectrum band)), deployment options associated with nearby cells. In such cases, the UE may determine whether to access the radio frequencies or RF bands of these cells based on the capabilities of the UE. In some cases, the UE may further determine whether the nearby cells are available based on the availability of a service through those cells. Accordingly, the UE may select one of the radio frequencies or bands corresponding to the cell having a network connectivity configuration that supports the UE's capabilities.

摘要： A base station may transmit to a user equipment (UE) one or more indices corresponding to one or more carrier aggregation (CA) band combinations via a UE capability request. The transmitted UE capability requests may include an identifier that corresponds to the UE or the capability procedure between the UE and the base station. Then the UE may respond to the request by including the identifier and an indication of its capability corresponding to the transmitted indices in a UE capability response. Additionally the UE may include an aggregation indicator which signals to the network that the UE's capabilities are to be aggregated with additional indications of UE capability received in other UE capability responses that also include the identifier. Subsequent UE capability responses that include the identifier and an indication that the UE's capabilities may be aggregated will be combined with previously received UE capabilities.
