摘要： A display system includes a display alignment tracker configured to track the position of a first signal and the position of a second signal. The display alignment tracker optically multiplexes a portion of a first signal and of the second signal into a combined optical signal and measures a differential between the first signal and the second signal. A system for rendering optical signals on a head-mounted display, comprising: a first waveguide configured to guide a first signal therethrough; a second waveguide configured to guide a second signal therethrough; an optical multiplexer in optical communication with the first and second waveguides and configured to combine at least a portion of the first signal and of the second signal; and an optical sensor in optical communication with the optical multiplexer and configured to receive a combined optical signal including at least a portion of the first and of the second signal.

A first lens is disposed along a first optical axis in the housing, and a second lens is disposed along a second optical axis in the housing. A divider is positioned between the first lens and the second lens, with a front end portion of the divider positioned adjacent to the display device. The divider may include display capability so that images displayed on the display device may extend onto the divider. The divider may emit diffused light having chrominance and/or luminance levels corresponding to images displayed on the display device. The divider may reflect diffused light from images displayed on the display device. The divider may transmit diffused light from images displayed on the display device. Thus the edges of a binocular overlap region are rendered less obvious.

摘要： Systems, devices, and methods for eyebox expansion by exit pupil replication in wearable heads-up displays ("WHUDs") are described. A WHUD includes a scanning laser projector ("SLP"), a holographic combiner, and an optical splitter positioned in the optical path therebetween. The optical splitter receives light signals generated by the SLP and separates the light signals into N sub-ranges based on the point of incidence of each light signal at the optical splitter. The optical splitter redirects the light signals corresponding to respective ones of the N sub-ranges towards the holographic combiner effectively from respective ones of N spatially-separated virtual positions for the SLP. The holographic combiner converges the light signals to respective ones of N spatially-separated exit pupils at the eye of the user. In this way, multiple instances of the exit pupil are distributed over the area of the eye and the eyebox of the WHUD is expanded.
