摘要： Disclosed is a method for streaming multimedia content using the navigation device in a vehicle, and a navigation device and a playback device for a vehicle which implement the method. The method for streaming multimedia content using the navigation device included in a vehicle comprises the steps of: accessing a wireless Internet network using a wireless broadband Internet access unit; recommending multimedia content having a playing time not longer than an expected time period which is based on the time which is expected to be taken for the vehicle to travel to a destination; calculating the data charge charged for the streaming service; providing the service of streaming multimedia content through the screen of a navigation device when the multimedia content to be provided through the streaming service is determined using the navigation device; and providing the playback device for the vehicle with data via a short range communication unit included in the navigation device to stream the multimedia content to the playback device for the vehicle. Accordingly, a passenger can conveniently receive the service of streaming multimedia content in the vehicle.

The method for providing the wireless internet service may comprise the steps of: transmitting/receiving data to/from a wireless LAN share unit in a wireless LAN terminal; converting data received from the wireless LAN terminal and a wireless broadband internet network to transmit the wireless broadband internet network and the wireless LAN terminal, respectively; receiving data transmitted from the wireless broadband internet network from a wireless broadband internet access unit and then transmitting the data transmitted from the wireless LAN terminal; and aggregating the amount of data transmitted/received to/from the wireless broadband internet access unit and then displaying the usage charge for the aggregated and calculated data. Accordingly, a customer can receive wireless internet service in a moving vehicle using the wireless LAN terminal and calculate and pay the data charge when the customer returns the vehicle or disembarks from the vehicle.
