摘要： A telecommunications module (36) includes a main housing (52) with an optical component within an interior of the main housing (52) and a fiber optic adapter block (56) coupled to the main housing (52), the adapter block (56) including a one-piece main body including a top wall and a bottom wall, the adapter block (56) defining a plurality of openings extending from a front end to a rear end of the main body, each opening defining a separate adapter, each opening defining a longitudinal axis, the adapters being configured to receive connectorized cables extending from the optical component within the interior of the main housing (52), the adapter block (56) including at least one guide rail (80) extending generally between the top wall and the bottom wall of the main body, the guide rail configured for slidably mounting the fiber optic telecommunications module (36) to a telecommunications device once the adapter block (56) has been coupled to the main housing (52), wherein the main housing (52) includes an integrally formed pivotable latching arm configured to pivot for selectively latching and unlatching the telecommunications module for slidable movement with respect to the telecommunications device.

摘要： An insect-infestation prevention device and a fiber optic telecommunications equipment including an insect-infestation prevention device is disclosed. The fiber optic telecommunications equipment includes a housing with a main housing portion defining a first transverse wall, a front wall, a rear wall, a top wall, and a bottom wall, cooperatively defining an interior. A cable exit/entry is provided opening on one of the front wall, the rear wall, the top wall, and the bottom wall. A removable insect-infestation prevention device is located adjacent the cable exit/entry opening, the insect-infestation prevention device including cable openings communicating with the cable exit/entry opening. The cable openings of the device are sized to accommodate fiber optic cables exiting or entering the housing while limiting the amount of free space around the fiber optic cables to prevent insects from entering the housing. A removable cover mounted to the main housing portion defines a second transverse wall of the housing and captures the insect-infestation prevention device against the main housing portion.

One system includes a first optical transmission service comprising a common wavelength pair routed from a source to each of a plurality of subscribers and a second optical transmission service comprising a plurality of unique wavelength pairs, each of the unique wavelength pairs assigned to a subscriber among the plurality of subscribers. The system includes a splitter optically connected to first fiber carrying the first optical transmission service, the splitter including a plurality of outputs each delivering the first optical transmission service, and a wavelength division multiplexer connected to a second fiber, the wavelength division multiplexer separating each of the unique wavelength pairs of the second optical transmission service onto separate optical fibers. The system further includes a plurality of second wavelength division multiplexers optically connected to a different output of the plurality of outputs of the splitter and to a different one of the unique wavelength pairs from the wavelength division multiplexer, thereby combining a unique wavelength pair and a common wavelength pair onto a single fiber to be delivered to a subscriber.

A fiber optic signal entry location is defined on the body for a fiber optic signal to enter the interior via a fiber optic cable. An adapter block defines a plurality of fiber optic adapters and is removably mounted to the body with a snap-fit interlock, each adapter including a front outer end, a rear inner end, and internal structures allowing mating of optical connectors mounted to the front and rear ends, respectively. A removable spacer is mounted to the body, the spacer configured to expand the size of the enclosed interior of the cassette and a removable cover is mounted to the spacer. Connectorized optical fibers extend from the fiber optic signal entry location to the rear inner ends of at least some of the fiber optic adapters for relaying the fiber optic signal to fiber optic connectors to be coupled to the front outer ends of the adapters.

摘要： A fiber optic telecommunications device includes a frame and a fiber optic module including a rack mount portion, a center portion, and a main housing portion. The rack mount portion is stationarily coupled to the frame, the center portion is slidably coupled to the rack mount portion along a sliding direction, and the main housing portion is slidably coupled to the center portion along the sliding direction. The main housing portion of the fiber optic module includes fiber optic connection locations for connecting cables to be routed through the frame. The center portion of the fiber optic module includes a radius limiter for guiding cables between the main housing portion and the frame, the center portion also including a latch for unlatching the center portion for slidable movement. Slidable movement of the center portion with respect to the rack mount portion moves the main housing portion with respect to the frame along the sliding direction.
