    • Upon each data measurement after RF excitation pulse application for spread emphasis imaging, a body movement navigation echo is measured, so that one of them is used as a reference navigation echo. The reference navigation echo and the other navigation echoes are subjected to 1-dimensional Fourier transform in the lead-out direction and a 1-dimensional phase inclination is calculated from these data. The 1-dimensional phase inclination of the reference navigation echo is compared to that of the other navigation echoes, so as to determine whether the difference is within an allowable value. When the difference exceeds the allowable value, the echo signal corresponding to the navigation echo is decided not to be acceptable for correction by the navigation body movement correction method and not used for image re-construction. Measurement is again performed and an image is formed by using an echo signal measured with a navigation echo below the allowable value. Thus, the body movement component contained in the echo signal used in forming an image becomes uniform and a body movement artifact is removed.
