摘要： A luminescent converter for a light emitting element (e.g., LED) includes a transparent, sol-gel-derived ceramic matrix having particles of at least one type of phosphor embedded therein that change a wavelength of the input light to light that has a different wavelength. The ceramic matrix is 20-80% porous with a majority of the pores having a diameter in a range of 2-20nm. A method of making this converter includes preparing a sol-gel ceramic matrix embedded with the particles of phosphor in the matrix, and drying the matrix at no more than 600°C to form the converter.

Influent, with oil and suspended solids, enters a first stage for oil recovery includes a gas ionizer and an air dissolving pump. A second stage includes of two coagulation/flotation compartments connected in serial to enhance solids removal efficiencies. Micro air bubbles are created by air dissolving pumps in each compartment. A third stage is for the emulsion breaking unit to further remove or recover the emulsified oils. A fourth stage includes advanced oxidation by using ultraviolet (UV) and hydrogen peroxide to oxidize and disinfect the bacteria and microorganisms.

摘要： A ceramic discharge vessel has a hollow body with at least one receptor. A molybdenum tube is shrink-fit in the receptor, preferably in the form of capillaries. The shrink fit provides a hermetic seal without the use of glass frits or other additional sealing materials. An electrode having a rod portion is inserted into the molybdenum tube. The rod portion of the electrode is welded to the tube at a remote end of the tube. The inner diameter of the molybdenum tube is no more than 0.02 mm greater than the outer diameter of the rod portion of the electrode so that a gap of 0.01 mm or less is formed between the rod portion and the tube to inhibit pooling of the discharge medium, e.g., a metal halide fill, in the gap.

摘要： A photo-therapeutic, electrodeless lamp comprises a closed-loop envelope containing an arc generating and sustaining medium. A phosphor coating on the interior of the envelope generates visible radiation in response to excitation from 254 nm radiation. The visible radiation has an energy output in the region of 500-800 nm of > 12,000 μW/cm2 A reflector formed on a portion of the envelope leaves a window for the emission of the visible radiation and concentrates the power requirements. Means are formed with the lamp for supplying RF excitation to generate the 254 nm radiation. The lamp has an effective area that allows easy operator manipulation and good patient access.

摘要： An integral HID reflector lamp may be formed with an HID (14) held in a reflector (12). An inner element (16) is mechanically coupled to the reflector. The inner element is formed with a first mechanical coupling to mate with the reflector, a second mechanical coupling to mate with a circuit board (18), and an electrical coupling to at least electrically couple one of the leads to the circuit board. A circuit board has an edge mechanically coupled to the inner element and electrically connected to the leads by an electrical coupling on the inner element. A heat sink (20) spans at least one side of the circuit board and forming an EMI shielding. An outer cover (22) encloses the heat sink, circuit board, and inner element and coupled to the assembly of the reflector, HID lamp, inner element, and heat sink with each elements of the assembly clipped together.
