    • A board edge connector to which a board is inserted along an oblique direction relative to its fixed posture includes a main body, a plurality of contacts arranged in juxtaposition on the main body along a direction perpendicular to an insertion direction of the board, and a cover member covering the main body. The main body includes a base portion on which the multiple contacts are juxtaposed and a pair of arm portions extending from the base portion along opposed lateral edges of the board which assumes a fixed posture.     • An electronic module package including an electronic module configured to receive input signals and process the input signals to provide output signals. The electronic module package also includes an interposer that has a substrate with opposite board and module surfaces. The electronic module is mounted to the module surface. The interposer includes electrical contacts along the module surface that are communicatively coupled to the electronic module through the substrate. The electronic module package also includes a connector receptacle having a receptacle housing coupled to the interposer. The receptacle housing defines a reception space that is located over and permits access to the electrical contacts. The connector receptacle is configured to receive an electrical connector within the reception space to electrically couple the electrical contacts and the electrical connector. The connector receptacle holds the electrical connector therein in a mated position.

    • A connector for electrically connecting an electrical component having a plurality of conductive elements extending therefrom to a substrate. The connector comprises a first base and a second base. The first base has at least one aperture therein and a hinge assembly. The second base comprises a plurality of contacts that correspond to the conductive elements in the electrical component and a hinge assembly. The hinge assemblies of the first and second bases allow movement of the first base relative to the second base. A method of securing the electrical component to the substrate including the steps of: inserting the component into a cassette; mounting the housing to the substrate; connecting a portion of the conductive elements of the electrical component with a portion of the contacts; and connecting the remainder of the conductive elements of the electrical component with the remainder of the contacts. A contact having a retention portion, a tail portion and a pair of beams. The beams each have a first portion which displaces the beam from opposite sides of the plane of the retention portion and a second portion extending from, and canted relative to, the first portion. The second portions interact to receive a mating contact therebetween.

    • An electrical connector has a first insulative housing including an elongate bridging portion from two ends of which two guiding arms extend for guiding a memory card toward the bridging portion. The guiding arms each have a first engaging portion confronting each other. A second elongate insulative housing is detachably assembled to the first housing between the guiding arms thereof. The second housing defines a plurality of passageways for receiving contacts therein and has a second engaging portion at each end thereof for detachably engaging with the first engaging portion of the first housing. The detachable second housing allows replacement of contacts therein for adjusting to different capacities of memory modules.

    • An apparatus and method for routing all external connection points of a double-sided edge connector of a circuit card to one side of a test tray suitable for testing with a bed of nails, "pogo pin" or similar type of load board for functional testing of said circuit card. A first embodiment of the apparatus includes a pivotally mounted or snap-in removable electrical and mechanical receptacle with a slot or socket suitable for holding a double-sided edge connector of a circuit card in a test tray. The receptacle pivots or is otherwise mounted in the test tray to allow the circuit card to lie co-planar with the test tray, thus providing perpendicular contact to the pins of a bed of nails load board. Another embodiment provides a fixed receptacle mounted vertically that routes all edge connector traces to the bottom surface of the test tray, again, suitable for engaging with a bed of nails-type test board.
