摘要： An interconnect system includes various anti-backout latches that are movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. When in the engaged position, the anti-backout latches can be configured to prevent an interconnect module, such as an optical transceiver, from becoming unmated from a host module. When in the disengaged position, the anti-backout latches permit the interconnect module to become unmated from a host module. Securement members are also disclosed that secure a heat sink to a module housing of the interconnect module.

摘要： An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts are retained in the housing. A pair of metal latches are assembled on the housing. The latch includes a deflectable arm with a restriction tab for engagement within the corresponding notch of the memory module so as to restrict movement of the memory module in a front-to-back direction, and with a pressing tab beside the restriction tab for downwardly pressing the memory module so as to restrict movement of the memory module in a vertical direction. The pressing tab includes a downward oblique guiding section, and a folded section intimately under the guiding section with a curved linking region between the oblique guiding section and the folded section for downwardly pressing the surface of the memory module without scraping.

Each tower has a lower/first part and an upper/second part in the vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction. The width dimension in the transverse direction of the upper part is smaller than that of the lower part.

摘要： A connector for electrically connecting an electrical component having a plurality of conductive elements extending therefrom to a substrate. The connector comprises a first base and a second base. The first base has at least one aperture therein and a hinge assembly. The second base comprises a plurality of contacts that correspond to the conductive elements in the electrical component and a hinge assembly. The hinge assemblies of the first and second bases allow movement of the first base relative to the second base. A method of securing the electrical component to the substrate including the steps of: inserting the component into a cassette; mounting the housing to the substrate; connecting a portion of the conductive elements of the electrical component with a portion of the contacts; and connecting the remainder of the conductive elements of the electrical component with the remainder of the contacts. A contact having a retention portion, a tail portion and a pair of beams. The beams each have a first portion which displaces the beam from opposite sides of the plane of the retention portion and a second portion extending from, and canted relative to, the first portion. The second portions interact to receive a mating contact therebetween.

摘要： An apparatus and method for routing all external connection points of a double-sided edge connector of a circuit card to one side of a test tray suitable for testing with a bed of nails, "pogo pin" or similar type of load board for functional testing of said circuit card. A first embodiment of the apparatus includes a pivotally mounted or snap-in removable electrical and mechanical receptacle with a slot or socket suitable for holding a double-sided edge connector of a circuit card in a test tray. The receptacle pivots or is otherwise mounted in the test tray to allow the circuit card to lie co-planar with the test tray, thus providing perpendicular contact to the pins of a bed of nails load board. Another embodiment provides a fixed receptacle mounted vertically that routes all edge connector traces to the bottom surface of the test tray, again, suitable for engaging with a bed of nails-type test board.
