    • An improved modular vacuum interruption apparatus includes a vacuum interrupter, a first connection module, and a second connection module, with the first and second connection modules each being connectable and disconnectable with a pair of electrodes of the vacuum interrupter. The first connection module is selected from among a plurality of connection modules that are similar yet different and can be used interchangeably to form various permutations of the improved modular vacuum interruption apparatus. The second connection module is likewise selected from among a plurality of connection modules that are similar yet different and that are interchangeably usable with the vacuum interrupter to form different permutations of the modular vacuum interruption apparatus. Similarly, the vacuum interrupter is among a plurality of vacuum interrupters having different specifications but that are usable interchangeably with all of the first and second connection modules to form different permutations of the modular vacuum interruption apparatus.

    • The disclosed concept pertains to systems and methods to control the passing or entering of a circuit breaker into a cell. The concept relates to employing a RFID-actuated circuit breaker coding interlock. The interlock includes a circuit breaker having a RFID tag that stores information relating to the circuit breaker and a cell structured to receive the circuit breaker. The cell includes a blocking mechanism moveable between a blocking condition which prevents insertion of the circuit breaker into the cell and a non-blocking condition which permits insertion of the circuit breaker into the cell, and an RFID reader module structured to wirelessly receive the information from the RFID tag and determine whether to move the blocking mechanism from the blocking condition to the non-blocking condition based on the information.

    • A contactless switch structure is provided that may turn on and off an electrical signal in a contactless manner, allow a worn operating portion in the structure to be easily replaced, and prevent decrease of the sensitivity caused by foreign material such as dust. A contactless switch structure according to the invention includes a replaceable member to be detachably set to a target portion to which the contactless switch structure is to be set, the replaceable member having an aperture at an end section thereof and a virtual boundary defined by the aperture at the end section; and a detection element and a detector closely opposed across the virtual boundary in the normal state, the detection element and the detector being placed on the replaceable member side and the target portion side of the virtual boundary, respectively.
