摘要： The invention relates to tonearm tracking mechanisms in phonograph players and mechanical devices constructed for the purpose of reproducing or playing back recorded audio material previously impressed, in the form or grooves, onto a surface of a disk, which are commonly called phonograph players or turntables. Such disk is commonly called, among other similar words, a phonograph record or a vinyl disk. The present invention is a tangential tracking tonearm mechanism, wherein the tonearm bearing subassembly has two rotary bearings in the lateral plane and a coupling linkage built into a compact subassembly. The collective contribution of these elements, when properly configured and appropriately adjusted, make, during playback of audio material on a disk, reduced playback distortion over radial tracking mechanisms and closely mimics the conditions under which nearly all masters are made.

摘要： A transfer control device for a reproducing transducer in a rotary recording medium reproducing apparatus having a reproducing transducer for reproducing recorded signals from a rotary recording medium and a driving motor for transferring said reproducing transducer on said rotary recording medium comprises a micro-computer having first and second output ports, where the first output port produces a signal of a pulse form which repeats high-level and low-level periods during a normal-speed transferring mode, and the second output port produces a continuous high-level or low-level signal according to the transferring mode so that a combination of a predetermined level is obtained between the output signal from the first output port, a square wave signal generating circuit applied with the output signal from the first output port of the micro-computer, where the square wave signal generating circuit is triggered to produce a predetermined square wave signal when applied with the signal of a pulse form and not triggered when applied with other signals of constant level, and a switching circuit applied with the output signal from the first and second output ports of the micro-computer, to switch over a plurality of input terminals according to the levels of the applied signals and pass the input terminal voltage through to an output side as an output voltage. The switching circuit supplies the output voltage thus obtained to the driving motor.

摘要： For use with a phonograph turntable unit having a tone arm and means for lifting the tone arm to a cueing position spaced above the plane of the turntable, a cueing apparatus for laterally positioning the tone arm with respect to the turntable comprising a flag depending from the rearward end of the tone arm and a helical cam spring mounted beneath the flag. The spring is carried so as to engage the flag in the raised position of the tone arm and spaced from the flag in the lowered tone arm position so as to permit free lateral movement of the tone arm in such lowered position. The cam spring is coupled as by cables and/or shafts to an operator knob adjacent the forward edge of the turntable so as to be adapted for manual positioning of the tone arm at a desired lateral position.

摘要： A drive assembly for a video recorder-playback machine is provided for controlled linear translation of an optics carriage including an optical record-playback head in a radial direction with respect to a video information disc. The optics carriage is mounted for radial displacement along a linear track assembly, and is connected to a sleeve-type push block received about a precision lead screw. The push block is biased by a spring axially toward a floating center coupling which in turn couples the push block with limited axial misalignment against rotation with respect to a lead screw nut. Rotation of the lead screw causes axial translation of the lead screw nut for effecting corresponding linear translation of the push block and the optics carriage.
