    • A wearable charging apparatus configured for charging of a wearable device while the wearable device is in an operative position, such as on the wrist of the user the wearable charging apparatus includes a front housing portion, a rear charging portion, a coupling member and a charge system. The wearable device is positionable between the front housing portion and the rear charging portion. The front portion has a battery and the rear charging portion has a wearable charge coil that is placed in operable position relative to the wearable device and configured to electrically communicate with a coil within the body of the wearable device and coupled to a wearable battery therewith, to, in turn, transfer power from the battery within the cavity to the wearable battery.

    • A miniature electronic timepiece whose analog-display time-indicating hands are driven by the rotor of a stepping motor actuated by low-frequency periodic timing pulses derived by frequency division from a high-frequency crystal-controlled time base. The motor, in addition to a stator coil wound on a core, includes an auxiliary coil wound on the same core to define a transformer whose primary is the auxiliary coil and whose secondary is the stator coil. To power the electronic watch, a voltage at a predetermined level is required, this being supplied by a converter formed by an electronic chopper interposed between the primary of the transformer and a d-c source whose output is at a different voltage level. Thus the d-c voltage applied to the primary is periodically interrupted, the resultant a-c voltage yielded by the secondary being rectified to provide the desired power voltage.

    • A regulated voltage converter for converting a relatively low voltage to a relatively high voltage. The converter includes a voltage converter for converting a relatively low voltage to a relatively high voltage, a constant current source, reference means coupled to the constant current source and the voltage converter for providing a reference voltage related to the relatively high voltage, a threshold detector coupled to the reference means for generating a control signal when the output of the voltage converter drops below a predetermined threshold value, a sense and enable means responsive to the appearance of the control signal for enablng the voltage converter, and sample means coupled to the constant current source, the threshold detector and the sense and enable means for periodically enabling the operation of these elements. The duration of the enabling period is small relative to the period therebetween.
