摘要： Exemplary arrangements relate to a universal world timepiece such as a clock having a movement (11) in connection with indicators such as hands (16, 18, 20). The timepiece includes a stationary oriented 24-hour clock face (101, 301, 401, 501) including hour marks for each hour, and a dial (103, 303, 403, 503) which is movable relative to the 24-hour clock face. The example dial has a unique icon such as a different Latin letter for each hour of the 24 hours. A computer (10) of the timepiece may operate to determine geographic coordinates and/or or to receive wireless time signals and to determine the time zone in which the timepiece is currently located. The computer operates to cause the dial to be rotatably positioned responsive to the time zone determination, to cause a particular icon to be linearly aligned with a particular hour mark of the clock face. The arrangement enables a time in a designated time zone such as world time to be read, along with the local time and enables users in various time zones with clocks including such dials to set a future appointment at the same real time through designation of an icon.

摘要： A watch bezel provides a GMT function and a count-up time-tracking function. The watch bezel includes a first set of indicia to indicate 24 hours associated with the GMT function of the watch and a second set of indicia to indicate 60 minutes in an hour. When mounted or attached to the watch casing or body, the bezel is rotatable in the clockwise direction and in the counter-clockwise direction. The watch bezel enables a user to read or set the time associated with a secondary time zone without adjusting any hands on the watch. The second set of indicia comprises a plurality of incremental minute markers and allows a user to track elapsed time. The capability of tracking elapsed time allows the watch to be used in activities that require tracking of elapsed time such as diving or other sporting events.

摘要： According to an aspect of the present invention, a device capable of wireless communication includes a counter for counting current time, and a processor for setting a communication mode of the device to one of a notification mode in which the device sends a first notification signal for informing of its existence and a detection mode in which the device detects a second notification signal sent from other device. In the case that the processor changes the communication mode of the device from the notification mode to the detection mode and the second notification signal received in the detection mode includes first time information, the processor corrects time of the counter based on the first time information.
